Currently (February 21st) there's still a lot of snow and some ice. But finally, some elevation gain!

Nicely decorated, but also very deserted on (winter) evenings. For example: the lights around the city park were already switched off at 8:15 pm.

The bridge was completed and inaugurated yesterday (October 15, 2025). 🎉

St. Christopher's Church in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Information: A three-aisled Baroque church. The current structure is a gallery hall built in 1756/57, replacing an earlier building from the 16th century. Emma Pollmer and Karl May were married here on September 12, 1880.

Plastered hall church from 1756/1757 on the floor of a previous church from the 16th century. The west tower dates from 1792/1793. Remains of a Baroque altar and baptismal font angels are located in the tower floor.

The hermitage on the Rochlitzer Berg was built in 1817 by Christian Gottlob Seidel, a quarry owner. Two rocks were connected by a wall, creating a small, chapel-like building. In the Romantic period, this place attracted many hikers and still serves as an idyllic rest stop today.
