Rest area on the Jahntalweg trail near the church in Hof/Saxony

Between 2004 and 2006, the Seerhausen Palace Park was reconstructed in the Baroque style by the municipality of Stauchitz and the Seerhausen im Jahnatal e.V. support association, with funding from the European Union and the Free State of Saxony. Since then, the Seerhausen Palace Park has once again retained a touch of Baroque elegance.

Osterland Castle near Oschatz: A ruined castle complex. Information: A ruined complex dating back to the second decade of the 13th century. The structure exhibits early Gothic features in this region and is a listed historical monument.

Four heads are mounted on the fountain basin, facing the four cardinal directions, but also representing allegories of the four times of day, the four seasons, and the four ages of man. They correspond to the heraldic panels above. There are a total of eight gilded heraldic panels on the base, whose reliefs, zodiac signs, sayings, and biblical quotations evoke a variety of associations. The differently depicted heraldic lions represent both different temperaments and the various periods of the city's prosperity. Above the cardinal directions, four animal figures spout water into the basin. St. Aegidius Church in Oschatz. Information: The city's landmark and the church's origins, dedicated to Saint Aegidius, likely date back to the 11th century (chapel/wooden church). Its two 75-meter-high towers are visible from afar.
