The St. Wendeler Land Railway Cycle Route near Türkismühle follows a former railway line through idyllic landscapes. The route is flat and well-maintained—ideal for relaxing bike rides.

We passed through here on the third day of our Trier-Grünstadt tour. It's one of the most beautiful bike paths we've ever ridden.

The imposing St. Wendel Basilica attracts more than just pilgrims. Its Gothic entrance, striking towers, and winding alleyways make it a place steeped in history and atmosphere. It is considered the most important church in Saarland – named after St. Wendelin, patron saint of shepherds and farmers. 📸 Tip: If you follow the side streets, you'll discover not only great photo opportunities but also small cafés with views of the church.

The St. Wendelerland cycle path is an absolute highlight for me, but unfortunately the 6-kilometer gap to the Ruwer-Hochwald cycle path is missing.

The Bostalsee is simply fantastic, whatever the weather.
