Built in 1793. A truly beautiful church, both inside and out. And the view from here is simply fantastic.

The parish church in St. Martin was originally built in 1746 on the remains of a medieval church. However, the church as it stands today on the hill was rebuilt between 1947 and 1973 after the building was severely damaged in World War II. The cemetery is located next to the church. Right next to the church, you'll also find plenty of places to rest. And it's well worth visiting the church interior.

Someone has clearly gone to great lengths to bring history to life here. Kudos! The excavated grave and its accompanying description are just as interesting as the three reconstructed burial mounds. And when you've had your fill of learning, you can also rest comfortably in the shade. Perfect!

Here you'll find a lovely and well-equipped rest area. Cool off under a shady pergola. And right next to it, in the little building, you'll find chilled drinks. What more could a cyclist or hiker ask for?! :)

The Dobra Castle ruins are located on a steep volcanic cone rising directly above the market town of Neuhaus am Klausenbach. The castle's origins date back to the 12th century: Built as a Hungarian border fortress, it formed a dam in the Klausenbach Valley, serving as a strategic counterpart to the Styrian Kapfenstein Castle. During numerous conflicts throughout the Middle Ages, the fortress was repeatedly conquered and changed hands. The castle was last captured by Andreas Baumkircher in 1467, suffering significant damage. Although the complex was restored, the end of the castle's military and political significance at the beginning of the modern era led to a rapid decline of the once mighty fortification from the mid-17th century onward. As in many similar cases, the buildings were actively demolished, and the stones were reused as building material elsewhere. Today, only the remains of the thick inner walls of the pentagonal castle courtyard bear witness to its past strength.

The Roman Catholic parish was destroyed during the Reformation. The church was rebuilt in the 17th century and consecrated in 1690.

A beautiful path, partly on gravel, takes you directly along the Raab. Beautiful views of the river and comfortable rest areas await you along the way. A pleasure for cycling.
