I later saw that part 1 isn't entirely accurate, as there's a trail before it. I have no idea if it's also accessible by mountain bike. This section, however, is very well-ridden, and I definitely recommend it if you don't want to ride down the easy forest road.

Section 2 of this amazing, but sometimes challenging, singletrack trail. Definitely an experience and much nicer than the forest road. I don't know whether this trail is open to hikers AND cyclists. I rode the singletrack downhill and would only recommend it downhill.

Beautiful little chapel, unfortunately closed. Right next to the chapel is the takeoff point, but I was there alone during my visit... From here, you also have a beautiful view of the Olympus mountain range, which was still snow-covered when I was there.

I stayed here for two days. Highly recommended. Small apartments with a kitchen and free parking. Right on the edge of Palaios Panteleimon. You can't drive into the village anyway. Kostas, the landlord, is incredibly nice. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stay there again.
