In the castle area, local drivers show little respect for cyclists. Unpleasant road incidents, from verbal altercations to collisions/accidents, are common. The route is beautiful nonetheless.

Lake Czorsztyńskie, located between the Pieniny and Gorce Mountains, is a picturesque reservoir on the Dunajec River. It was created as a result of the construction of the dam in Niedzica, which plays an important role in flood protection of the Dunajec Valley and in the production of electricity. The lake is a popular place for recreation, offering bathing, sailing, fishing and diving. There are numerous tourist attractions in the area, such as the Pieniny National Park, the castles in Czorsztyn and Niedzica, and the VeloCzorsztyn mountain bike trail. The lake also has a Bird Island, which is a shelter for waterfowl.
