The village church is currently being renovated from time to time. The altar is already shining in its former glory. Particularly striking is the blue starry sky, which is reminiscent of Friedrich Schinkel's work on the stage design of The Magic Flute.

In 1604, a simple half-timbered church was built. In 1906, the rectangular half-timbered hall building from 1684 received massively renewed side walls and a peculiar neo-Gothic remodeling. The tower was retained and stood in strange contrast. In 1983, the dilapidated tower had to be demolished and the west gable was redesigned and adapted to the 1906 design. On May 20, 1984, the renovation was completed with the re-consecration. Inside there is a late Renaissance retable altar of high quality from 1600 with a two-story, colorful structure. On the north side is the pulpit, also from 1600, with its twisted column and paintings in the parapet fields depicting Christ and John. Its sounding board is painted with angels. The Empire chandelier made of bronze is from 1801. The pair of pewter altar candlesticks with laurel leaves on the shaft were created in 1801, and the bronze Empire chandelier in the middle of the church dates from about the same year.
