Ingenious highlight of the crossing from Klafferkessel to Golling Hut

Very nice view and also a great view of Hochgolling. The Greifenberg is easily accessible from the Gollinghütte and the climb is not as demanding in terms of sure-footedness as the Waldhorn

After almost 10 hours of hiking, I'm as happy as a little kid. The great sun terrace and the view of the valley will delight everyone who arrives. The landlord is a very helpful and the food is very good.

The Alm nestles at the foot of the Klafferkessel in the Untertal, right next to the Preintaler Hütte. During our Schladminger Tauern high-altitude hike Sept./2021, the alp is not managed.

The hut is particularly busy at weekends, so make sure to reserve a place to sleep. Ideal for overnight stays, commendable cuisine and friendly staff.

The Schladminger Tauern Höhenweg between Gollinghütte and Preintaler Hütte leads through the Klafferkesseln nature reserve. They are a relic of the last Ice Age. From the Greifenberg, I was particularly fascinated by the beautiful turquoise, ice-blue lake below the summit. It took me longer until I finally found him because of the differences in altitude so that I could be very close to him.
