The Eriskircher Ried is the largest nature reserve on the northern shore of Lake Constance. The area stretches from the mouth of the Rotach near Friedrichshafen to the mouth of the Schussen near Langenargen. Here, wet and orchard meadows with rare plants, reeds, watercourses and remnants of forest characterize the shore. The shallow water zone, which is up to one kilometer wide, is the habitat of numerous animals and plants. Two observation platforms invite you to explore and linger.

The Schussen is a 59-kilometre-long tributary of Lake Constance and thus a right and northern tributary of the Rhine in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
