With an area of 937 hectares, the Mönchbruch is the second largest nature reserve in Hesse. It is crossed by the B 486 and covers parts of the towns of Rüsselsheim and Mörfelden-Walldorf as well as the municipality of Nauheim.

Just beautiful in the summer and you can go cycling there

Beautiful pond with island. Reachable in a few minutes on foot from Walldorf. Lots of viewpoints on the lake and an easily walkable path around the lake.

Finally, most of the noise from Runway West is behind you. The lake is very idyllic.

The Mönchbruch-Mühle is a hotel, restaurant, beer garden and a central starting point for tours in the surrounding forests. Behind the parking lot, the Gerätehsbach and Gundbach flow together and are called Schwarzbach from there.

Very beautiful scenery and a haven for wildlife. Some paths are closed for the welfare of the animals. However, there are plenty of alternatives, and there is also the opportunity to see the landscape from above from a wooden tower.

It's nice that there are such nature reserves. I'm not an ornithologist. But there are many people walking around with binoculars, so that there are apparently some animal species to be discovered that you (unfortunately) can no longer see everywhere.
