You can also stay overnight at the Tanzboden, for example, if you're hiking the Toggenburg High Trail. Please note, however, that reservations cannot be made from Sunday to Monday or Monday to Tuesday, as Monday is a day of rest. Vorder Höhi Alp "pass height 1537 m" The Vorder Höhi is the pass that connects Amden with Starkenbach A 3rd class road begins in the Vorderberg district of the municipality of Amden at 1151 m above sea level. M.; it may only be driven on with a motorized vehicle with a special permit. This transition from the Walensee region to Toggenburg gained in importance for a short time in 1973/74 when the access road from Weesen to Amden was endangered by an imminent rockfall.
