Great view of the Riedgletscher and the Nadelgrat, a cozy hut and an incredibly friendly hut team! The hut access was renovated in 2023 and is now marked in red and white and no longer leads over the glacier.

Great terrace at 2048 m above sea level.

Nice little pub to stop by.

The path is easily accessible from Bodmen to Hüeterhüs. From here the path goes to Rohrberg

This was the hut for the bisse overseer who looked after the bisse. That way he didn't have to go down to the village every day. The saying on the hut wall: Who knows how close my end is, time passes, death comes. Oh, how quickly, how swiftly my death can come.

Boarding From Gasenried or Grächen through a larch forest to the “Alpja” (Schafalp). In early summer, thousands of alpine roses bloom around the alp! From the Alpja, continue on the marked hiking trail to the Ried glacier. The easy, flat glacier crossing is marked with reflective poles every 20 meters (only if the hut is manned). Then the path climbs again briefly until you arrive at the hut. Please inquire about the conditions for crossing the glacier, bring crampons! Parking spaces at the entrance to Gasenried.
