8月 3, 2025, Bisse de Savièse Torrent-Neuf
There are several bisses in Valais, irrigation canals that carry water from the mountains to cultivated land. The Torrent Neuf bisse is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular of them. The route and photos are available at: https://treksrandos.fr/alpes/valais/alpes-bernoises/bisse-du-torrent-neuf/

A very beautiful hike, with all three suspension bridges accessible up to the chapel. After that, the path is closed.

200 m after the café there is a steel door that is closed until the end of April because the path is impassable when there is snow and ice. It is best to ask beforehand whether it is open.

A remarkable and spectacular section of trail, following the steep slopes of the valley. The trail is peppered with interest, whether it's the incredible views, religious artifacts and buildings, or wooden sculptures. In places the trail becomes a little exposed, but it is very solid so it remains extremely safe.

The route around the lake has a few inclines and obstacles, but it is also manageable for younger children without any problems. In addition to fantastic panoramic views, there are also a few waterfalls to be admired.

Nice refuge in a quiet place where you can see the lake des audannes. It can be an intermediate stage of the tour. You can climb the Wildhorn (ice ax and crampons)

7月 26, 2021, Lac de Tseuzier
The Tseuzier is a reservoir that was created by the construction of the Rawyl dam (1953-1957). The lake, surrounded by forests and meadows, offers hikers a refreshing experience of nature. The path goes counter-clockwise around the lake. The starting point is at the Restaurant du Barrage de Zeuzier at 1777 meters above sea level. The restaurant's panoramic terrace provides refreshment before or after the hike. At the far end of the lake, the path passes the source of the Bisse de Sion. The historic irrigation canal leads the water to the vines and slopes and ultimately feeds the Sionne, which flows through the Valais canton capital. Shortly after the picturesque source, the bisse crosses a mountain stream below by means of a wooden construction. The surroundings are magical: The Alpine meadows of Rawyl, surrounded by rocks and waterfalls, invite you to dream. The "Gîte Lourantze" invites you to take a break with its tipi and dormitory. The route leading from here over the Rawyl Pass into the Bernese Oberland was used by the Romans as a trading path. The circumnavigation of the lake continues along the bisse, which here and there disappears into tunnels or passages carved into rock. The path then leads back along the bank to the starting point at the dam. Tip for families with small children: The entire hike conquers an altitude difference of 140 meters - therefore a child carrier is more suitable than a stroller. The second part of the hike is flatter, with a stroller it is advisable to complete the outward and return route along the west bank. Highlights Easy, ityllic hike in the most beautiful surroundings Alpine pastures at the end of the lake with friendly mountain inn

7月 26, 2021, Bisse du Ro Suspension Bridge
Built in the 14th century, it was completely piped in the middle of the 20th century. It used to be called the "Bisse d'Amont" (Upper Bisse). Signs along the path explain the social organization of the bisse and the irrigation rules. The bisse has been completely renovated in recent years. Total length: 5 km Altitude: between 1700 and 1450 m above sea level Hiking time: around 3 hours without return. Location: Plan Mayens above Crans-Montana, Tzeusier reservoir, on the right side of the Rhone valley. From Tzeusier you can continue hiking on the Bisse d'Ayent. Level of difficulty: The Bisse de Ro leads through impressive vertical rock faces and the path is only suitable for people who don't suffer from vertigo.

7月 26, 2021, Bisse du Ro Suspension Bridge
This pedestrian suspension bridge was inaugurated in spring 2020 and offers an impressive perspective halfway between the Rawyl dam and Crans-Montana. The new suspension bridge of the Bisse du Ro now allows hikers to make this mythical hike in complete safety. This hiking trail used to run along the rock face. Since June 2020, the pedestrian suspension bridge, over 70 m high, 80 cm wide and 120 m long, bypasses this critical point. The construction of this impressive work is the result of a project that began in 2011 and took 9 years to complete. Its aim is to make the hiking trail safer, in line with the original goal of restoring the Bisse du Ro. Only suitable for people who are not afraid of heights.

Lac de Tseuzier The Lac de Tseuzier is a reservoir in the northern canton of Valais. It lies in the area of the municipalities of Avent and Icogne at an altitude of 1777 meters above sea level. The approximately 1.3km long and 800m wide reservoir is located below the Wetzsteinhorn. Lake Tseuzier is fed by various mountain streams, including La Liène, which flows out of the lake again after the Rawil dam. You can walk around the reservoir in a good hour. Right at the foot of the dam, you can have your meals in the Rawil restaurant. GETTING TO THE LAC DE TSEUZIER Those who don't want to hike from the Rhone Valley up to the reservoir can take a post bus from Sion to Lac de Tseuzier in the summer months. It is also possible to arrive by private car via Anzère. Follow the signs to the "Barrage de Zeuzier"
