Great dead-end road with some spectacular sections and views.

Lac de la Brèche is famous for its crystal clear waters and its surrounding landscapes. The water is very clear, during warmer periods you can enjoy a quick swim. There is a small pier nearby where you can rest or sunbathe. Access is free, there are no amenities, please take all trash with you.

Perched at an altitude of 2,200 meters, Lake Tracouet is also called “Lac Noir” for the dark color of its water. Home to exceptional flora, it has been included since 2001 in the Federal Inventory of amphibian reproduction sites of national importance. In 2020, it was classified as a “protected natural site” by the Canton of Valais. You can easily observe red frogs or Alpine newts. With its panoramic terrace and a well-stocked menu, the Restaurant de Tracouet also makes the place a privileged stopover on any route passing nearby.

Insanely beautiful reservoir with a wonderful but irregular climb!

A beautiful climb starting from the old town of Sion, through the vineyards before reaching a small shady road from Luc. Some spectacular passages in the rocks before Les Rousses and a magnificent view of the Valais Alps. The lake is also spectacular in its mountainous cirque.

Beautiful climb to lac des Tseuzier. The climb starts on a big road out of Sion, then further one goes to a small road with almost no traffic. During the climb you don't really have amazing views, until you're quite close to the top of the climb. From +/-4km to go you have views in the southeast direction, you can see Monte Rosa and another peak from there on. When you're completely on top a beautiful lake awaits you, and there is a good restaurant where you can get some food and drinks. Also a free drinkwater fountain can be found there
