標高2866メートルにある、この地域で最も高い展望スポットの一つに到達します。ここからは、グローサー・アレッチ氷河と周辺のヴァリス・アルプスの頂々の広大な眺めが広がります。 注意：今後数年間、山頂駅では建設工事が予定されており、一時的に利用が制限される場合があります。

Start or end point of the UNESCO high trail.

The circular trail is almost 500 metres long and always offers you the perfect view of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Information boards along the route provide interesting facts about the largest ice stream in the Alps and the surrounding mountains. The circular trail starts directly at the Eggishorn mountain station.

A new cable car to the Eggishorn is currently being planned.

The Eggishorn can be reached with the cable car from Fiesch, which was completed in 1966. This is divided into two sections: Fiesch - Fiescheralp/Kühboden and Fiescheralp/Kühboden - Eggishorn. On the Fiesch - Fiescheralp section, the cable car overcomes a height difference of 1146 m and on the Fiescheralp/Kühboden - Eggishorn section of 655 m. The journey from the valley to the mountain station takes 15 minutes. The mountain station is at 2866 m above sea level.[1] From the station, a path leads to the summit in 15 minutes. The operation of the cable car was temporarily suspended in October 2019 for safety reasons due to changes in the terrain at the mountain station caused by thawed permafrost.[2] The first section to Fiescheralp was replaced in 2019 by a 10-person gondola lift (circular lift), which starts directly at the new public transport hub in Fiesch,[3] which shortens the transfer routes between trains and buses.

Very beautiful old bridge over the Binna. Right next to the small chapel "St. Antonius", next to the bridge is an ebike charging station. Next to it is the restaurant at the bridge, where you can take a nice break!!
