And then you're there, a fantastic view of the glacier, the surrounding mountains and peaks, the snow chickens, etc.

Such a lovely mini-station! Upon arrival, I had to wait until the train started, so I took a look around. Clean and heated restrooms. The waiting room is also heated, with a large table and a corner bench. It feels a bit like a museum.

The climb from the Rinderhütte is quite strenuous, but you are rewarded with a magnificent view of the mountains. Be careful, as it is quite rocky!

The Lötschberg summit tunnel will be renovated from December 2018 to the end of 2024. This has the following effects on the timetable: Hohtenn will only be served every two hours instead of every hour. Two fewer trains will run from Eggerberg in the morning towards Brig–Domodossola. In the southwest of the Bernese Alps, you climb to almost 3,000 meters in altitude if you want to reach the summit cross of the Torrenthorn. You will be rewarded with a 360-degree view. You reach the summit from the Rinderhütte.
