ヘルンリヒュッテ（3,260 m）は、マッターホルンで最も有名な山小屋であり、ヘルンリグラートを登るほとんどの登山者の出発点です。ハイカーにとっては、印象的なアプローチの終着点であり、アルプスで最も壮観な展望ポイントの1つでもあります。 包括的な改修の後、この小屋はモダンな快適さとアルプスの山小屋の雰囲気を兼ね備えています。手入れの行き届いた多床室、温かいシャワー、フレンドリーな小屋のスタッフが、疲れる登山の後、快適な休息を提供します。 食堂では、ボリュームのあるヴァレー地方の料理が提供されます。長いハイキングの日の後にぴったりです。 特に印象的なのは、氷河の世界とモンテローザ群の4000メートル峰を遮るもののない眺望を楽しめる大きなサンテラスです。夕方、ロープチームが夜間の出発のために装備を準備し、早朝4時頃に最初のヘッドランプがヘルンリグラートに向かって出発するのを見ると、なぜヘルンリヒュッテが多くの登山者にとって特別な場所なのかが実感できるでしょう。

A suspension bridge over a gorge is always something special. This one is 100 meters long and hangs at a height of 90 meters. I'm not afraid of heights myself, so I was glad to be alone on the rather wobbly bridge.

It is one of the many highlights in Zermatt: the Furi suspension bridge over the Gorner Gorge. Built in 2011, the bridge is 100 meters long and 90 meters high in the middle of the fantastically beautiful mountains. You can use the bridge with your bike, but watch out for other people who might be coming towards you.

The Furi suspension bridge trail leads over the impressive Gorner Gorge suspension bridge and offers barbecue areas and a playground along the way.

A large, traditional mountain hut above the legendary town of Arolla. This hideaway offers food, drinks and accommodation, all in a superb location. From the refuge you can have incredible views of the mountains and valley around Arolla, and in good weather you can see the mighty Dent Blanche, as well as the distant Weisshorn, among many others. The drive to the refuge is indicative of its alpine environment, with technical driving on rocky alpine trails, which may be a challenge for some. Make sure you ride within your limits and be ready for the challenge, it's a pretty engaging environment up there. If you wish to stay at the refuge, it is recommended to book in advance, as these refuges can get very busy during peak season.
