Ausserberg train station 🚉 is an ideal starting point for hikes along the Lötschberg south ramp. The Üssre Barrhorn is easy to climb from the Turtmann side. Summit area steep but not exposed. From the Topalihütte you have to cross a small glacier and overcome a short, but rockfall-prone via ferrata. A head for heights and basic alpine knowledge/equipment are required here.
