From Quai Wilson, walk past the seaside resort and along the increasingly narrow jetty to the white lighthouse of Les Pâquis. Since 1894, it has been helping ships enter the harbor basin.

Easy - free parking (with macaron) at Le Griffon Tennis Club. Can be very muddy in parts after rain. Good all year nature reserve but few birds in Winter.

CICR / ICRC headquarters, Geneva Geneva's history of international cooperation is unrivalled by any other city. When a small group of Genevans founded the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in 1863, the foundations were laid for the first international humanitarian agreement, the Geneva Convention of 1864. In 1919, the victorious states of the First World War decided to set up the League of Nations and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva, giving the city a stronger and more dynamic platform for dialogue and cooperation. When it came to finding a seat for the major international organisations after the Second World War, Geneva was again chosen. Today, Geneva is home to important players in the health sector, such as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. You can see it from the boat, e.g. from the M3 or M4, as a public transport connection over a part of the lake.
