Calling it downhill is certainly an exaggeration. But it's a nice MTB trail that's been properly rideable again since some cleanup work in autumn 2025.

So the section I rode wasn't a trail. And certainly not flow. It was a weathered, barely passable logging road. Leaves, branches, tire tracks, loose boulders. And right at the bottom, there was wood piled up on top. So I gave up and rode the gravel road to Schönau.

Currently hardly seen/driven

Great trail along the slope; only the approach is briefly steep, the trail itself is flat.

The NaturFlowTrail MTB R1 "Langer Mark" is certainly one of the most beautiful NaturFlowTrails in Rieneck. It starts at the Langen Markstein and flows down the valley to Rieneck. Pay attention to the route and please do not leave the trail. Difficult passages can be bypassed on the route. Attention: The trail will not be marked from August 2022. It is best to follow the GPS track.

Hey guys! The "Lange Mark" in Rieneck is a super great NaturFlowTrail! Puts you in a good mood. But beware: not easy to drive in parts! But don't worry, the difficult sections can be avoided on the wide forest path.

The lower half of the trail is now roughly gravel and I think the upper half is nothing special.

Nice MTB route to the Leihbergkreuz, which you can drive in both directions.
