Since 2020, a terroir f can also be found in Hammelburg on Ofenthaler Berg. Four architecturally designed listening stations bring the varied history of viticulture in Franconia to life in words and pictures. A wonderful view over the old town of Hammelburg, surrounded by walls and towers, over to the Schlossberg with Saaleck Castle and into the hilly landscape of the Upper Rhön, make this place unique! The theme of the Hammelburger terroir f-point is the Franconian wine-growing history: The path begins with the beginnings of wine-growing in Franconia and ends with the panel about wine-growing today. Listening stations are integrated into the four time tables: at the push of a button, texts are played in which historical figures such as Charlemagne, Pastor Georg Horn and winemakers from the 19th century shed light on the history of viticulture in Hammelburg.
