Often steep, quietly used trail, currently somewhat overgrown and unkempt. But beautiful, and at times difficult due to some very steep sections (I had to dismount on the lowest steep section, and it was still very slippery even then). Otherwise, it's a good ride, with only moderate roots and almost no drops. Overall, probably graded S2.

Super observation tower on Lake Zurich and the Alps

Incredibly great panoramic view of Lake Zurich/Obersee. Every effort that this small but beautiful mountain requires is worth it! What is also great is that the Bachtel can be reached via various routes. Even though the view from the mountain is already great, the observation tower should definitely be climbed. A head for heights is an advantage. However, since you can't see the ground below because of the steps and the plateaus, it is also relatively suitable for those who are not afraid of heights (I can report this from my husband's experience) When I'm in the area again, I'll hike up the Bachtel again using a different route.

The trail first leads over meadows, the right track has to be looked for in the "Täusi" area, then it becomes clearer again. Rel. Easy trail S1, one point S2. In the lower part in the forest, then a forest path and gravel path down to the Bodenweid in the valley floor.

Beautiful meadow and forest hiking trail, also good MTB trail Sun and S1. It runs parallel to the main road on the other side of the Töss and joins the road again at Steg.

The stairs are not fun because the bike has to be carried. The whole route is not without it, as it goes down steeply on one side.
