Awesome, mostly flowy trail with one combination of curves that I would describe as the key section… otherwise, easily doable and fun for anyone with MTB experience.

The trail has been officially operated by Wartburgtrails e.V. since January 1, 2025, and is called the "Prinzessinnenstieg" (Princess's Trail). Not to be confused with the hiking trail of the same name.

Great trail. Before you get there, you can enjoy the view from the top. There are also small off-camber rock sections along the trail, but even advanced riders can easily roll over them.

A beautiful, flowing trail with good berms. Perfect for beginners. The "Hohe Sonne" hiking parking lot is nearby.

Since January 1, 2025, this trail has been legally operated by Wartburg-Trails e.V.

A really worthwhile mine trip by mountain bike to the Merkers potash mine. The tour offers a lot of interesting things and things worth seeing. For example, in the large bunker you can find the largest shovel excavator ever used underground. In the gold room we were also told a lot of interesting facts about the treasures of the German Reichsbank that were stored there during World War II. And the crystal grotto at a depth of 800m is a real feast for the eyes. But the best thing about it were the prevailing temperatures between 21°C and 28°C, even during our visit in December.

The trail can also be ridden with a gravel bike.
