The Wolfsschlucht with the bizarre rock formations from coral limestone with several small caves is approx. 200 m long & 20 m wide. The gorge was formed by an earlier watercourse about 160 million years ago; today the gorge is a dry karst area.

You have a magnificent view from the Blauen, perhaps also because this summit seems to venture far into the Upper Rhine plain and thus offers a particularly outstanding view into the depths.
