The bridge on the east bank is unfortunately broken, so it is very muddy here. Waterproof footwear is currently recommended. Otherwise a magical round.

Small but very beautiful forest lake. The western forest path is very easy to hike, on the eastern bank there is a small footpath along the bank.

On the way along the lake there is a small beach where you can rest very well and have a beautiful view of the lake itself. A few piers also offer good views of the lake.

Via the small path down to the lake you come to a path that leads almost completely (have not tested it) around the lake. Attention! There are plenty of grass snakes (not poisonous) here, but they are in a hurry to go far. There is a nice natural rest area by the lake.

Not shown in the Komoot app, there is also a path along the east side of the lake that, according to the signs on site, belongs to the "See-Runde". Here you can reach the lake via a small dirt track and have a wonderful view of it. The "See-Runde" continues around the lake, but a fallen tree blocks the trail, which can be avoided.

The Dolgensee, also called Big Dagger, is located on the edge of the nature reserve Melzower Forst. The shore is made of a wide reed belt. Therefore, the beautiful lake is not suitable for swimming, but is perfect to walk on its shore.
