The shelter, which was closed in October 2024, has now unfortunately been dismantled and not repaired. What a pity.

There is now a new, very rustic shelter on the "Brandenburg Tour 13" cycle path.

Although I've seen wolves several times in Lusatia, I've never seen them here - that's just how it is with insider tips. But there are many other animals. I can also recommend binoculars because there is always something to discover.

Absolutely beautiful tour around Lake Senftenberg, easy level of difficulty and mostly shady. Gastronomy along the way is also sufficient and good. At the "leaning tower" it's worth climbing up to 32m and a goulash cannon awaits you with a view over the lake below. There are plenty of parking spaces with toilets all around.

If the circuit around Lake Senftenberg is too short for you: there is a connection to the circuit around Lake Geierswalde near Großkoschen.
