pretty and quite steep path down to the ponds

The trail section starts with hairpin bends which are manageable and no rear wheel needs to be moved. It ends with a carpet of roots and steps. You have to find a good line. The trail is not long, but in an emergency you can push the short section.

Great single trail there, really worth it and shortly afterwards you'll be at Georgenberg near Bad Rodach.

You can follow the border strip there to Holzhausen or towards Billmuthausen. Still recommended for hikers, maybe for mountain bikers, but not for cyclists. The perforated plates live up to their name! The trail to Bad Rodach is great, absolutely recommended.

There is a refuge here and now the Hoher Stein 328 stamp point. A trail leads here towards Bad Rodach. The Veste Heldburg or Billmuthausen can be reached quickly.

What fun with lots of variety.

Although still a bit muddy in many places (especially the section close to the village), the trail can be driven quite well after a drying time of almost a week.

A bit difficult to reach by bike, but not impossible. It is best to drive here from the bridle path. The trail to Bad Rodach is easy to ride, but a cross bike or mountain bike is an advantage there. I wouldn't ride the column path to Holzhausen or Bad Colberg, this is already a challenge on a mountain bike. By bike it is better to take the bridle path (towards Veste) to Gauerstadt/Billmuthausen or the gravel forest path to Holzhausen. Great corner with a nice hut.
