Most Beautiful Vineyard View in the Bernkastel-Wittlich District Of the five proposals in the Mosel wine-growing region, the application from Lieser (Bernkastel-Wittlich District) received the most votes, making it the "Most Beautiful Vineyard View 2020" on the Mosel. The location at the Hambuchhütte near Lieser will be marked with a stele provided by the German Wine and Wine Association (DWI). The chapel was built to commemorate the victims of World War II. It was originally called the "War Memorial Chapel." It was consecrated on Ascension Day by Pastor Heinrich Kurtenbach. In 2006, tourists donated a statue of St. Joseph. The name "Josefsberg," however, has nothing to do with St. Joseph; rather, it derives from the local mayor, Josef Bartel, who had the "Ginsterberg" divided in 1900. Since then, it has been referred to as both "Josefsberg" and "Ginsterberg."

Nice quiet place to take a break from hiking. Below the chapel is a barrel swing 🥰

Nice rest area with tables and benches. The view of the Moselle and the towns of Lieser and Mülheim is very beautiful.

Along the wooden walkway there are many small information boards pointing out the flora and fauna that can be found here.

I found the dream loop that leads over a wooden footbridge through the Ehlesbruch more beautiful than expected. There are a few particularly nice places to sit here on the wooden pier.
