When you're here, you've made the ascent and can happily destroy the altitude you've worked up. C'est tout. You don't necessarily have to stop here.

You have to find the shelter first. It's a bit hidden and then without a seat. But the parking lot is spacious and suitable for several vehicles

A parking lot below the Kalmit, from which you can start many hikes in all directions.

Great shelter, there is a big stone, there are 3 coins to be seen

- The route via Modenbachtal is approximately 7 km and is very moderate and easy to ride (between 2-6%). - The route via Edenkobenertal is somewhat shorter, but includes significantly steeper sections (up to approximately 10%). - Caution: There are some potholes in the road on the descent into Edenkobenertal. - There is no traffic during the week or in bad weather. There may be some traffic on weekends and in good weather conditions.

Wonderful tour! The asphalt is expandable, but the route is super calm. Coming from Birkweiler the ascent is a little easier, coming from Edenkoben it is steeper. The forester's house is managed and offers a welcome break.

Starting point for the most beautiful spots from Kalmit to Hohe Loog and much more. Small tip: at the signpost in the parking lot, a great trail leads down into the valley and back towards St. Martin
