Pure relaxation

The Berntal is a very interesting landscape and offers a variety of impressions and natural features.

In summer it's a wonderful place to cool down a bit in the heat. The "zigzag path" up the hill south of the stream is beautifully decorated with small animal figures.

Really a beautiful spot on the bike path in the romantic Eisbachtal.

A great hiking trail to walk. It leads through a wonderful vineyard landscape.

The Begutenweiher, created shortly after the Second World War by gravel quarrying, is located between Friesenheim and the Notwende-Melm development area.

The almond terrace is Bad Dürkheim's new, blooming panoramic balcony below the Michaelis chapel on the Michelsberg. It is particularly beautiful here during the almond blossom in March, when the thirteen different young almond trees blossom. Six of them bloom pink in all shades, for example the deep pink glowing "Almond Queen", seven white, like the "Dürkheimer Krachalmond". An information board takes visitors on a journey through the world of almonds. As a homage to the Palatinate wine, the new “Terroir Table” with the most important vineyard soils of the German Wine Route has found its place on the terrace. Information boards will soon take you on a journey through 400 million years. In summer it gets colorful here. Native and insect-friendly species such as viper's bugloss, mallow and evening primrose then shine on the "blooming meadow". The exposed sandstone walls invite insects and lizards to sunbathe.
