Riding top from above, you can also use the notches as small berms and the bumps for small jumps 🤘... somehow hardly fits into the landscape, but in addition to the many easy paths, some MTB feeling.

Small, flowing single trail, relatively easy to ride, preferably from SW to NE, i.e. downhill. The starting point is a beautiful vantage point. The path leads into the trail, which leads further down towards Falkenstein Castle.

The Scharren am Altenhof nature reserve near Bettingen is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 6.7 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1988, stretches east of the municipality of Bettingen. The Prüm flows to the west of the area and the L 7 state road runs along it. The Schleidbach flows not far to the south. The purpose of protection is the preservation of the Scharren with the adjacent semi-arid grasslands rich in orchids, heat-loving bushes and mixed forest formations as a habitat for rare, endangered animal and plant species, especially bird and insect species. A weird but cool section. Somehow doesn't fit here.

Technically not too difficult. However, it is sometimes very steep, especially at the beginning in the south. If you start in the north, the entrance can only be managed by pushing, but it's easier after that, i.e. downhill.

Recommended as a DH. Except for one spot not too difficult to drive.

Only recommended as a DH, as the lower part is extremely steep.
