The cliffs provide living space for sand martins. But wind and waves also cause erosion of the cliff, whereupon the removed material is moved along the beach 😏...

The Roikier See (also: Roikiersee) is a forest lake that is part of the Groß-Tremmerup forest near Glücksburg (Baltic Sea). It is approximately 3.6 hectares in size and is probably the only real forest lake in the fishing region. The Roikier See was created in the 13th century from a moor area cleared by monks from the Cistercian monastery in Glücksburg at the time. The lake was used for fresh water supply and carp breeding.
