Thorssberger Moor is a very old place of worship, today probably no longer recognizable as a moor.

Today, the Thorsberg Moor is just a pond. Many important cult objects were found here, which are now exhibited in the regional collection in Schleswig, Gottorf Castle. They bear witness to the skills and life of the early Angelites.

The Habernisser Moor offers, among other things, an idyllic hike through meadows, swamps and forests. The tour begins at the Habernis lock, directly on the outer fjord, and is about 5 km long. You follow the floodplain for a short stretch across wet meadows and come to a boardwalk that leads through a marshy moorland area. The hiker immerses himself in a landscape characterized by grasses and a sea of flowers, and whose silence is underlined by the concert of many birds. If you are out and about in spring, you can discover the spotted orchid, a protected species of orchid native to northern Germany.
