The approximately 2.20 meter high statue was created in 2023 by the Berlin sculptor Valerie Otte. The cost was around €107,000. Most of the citizens of the municipality opted for this realistic and rather classic representation of the legendary Loreley. In the summer of 2022, they were able to choose from three final designs and 83 percent voted for this design. The new bronze statue is the second Loreley figure for St. Goarshausen. There is already a sculpture on the pier, at the foot of the 132 meter high Loreley rock.

The Ritt is a stone pier about 2 km long in front of the Osterspaier bank of the Rhine. It serves as a breeding ground for many birds. In the summer months, the area of water separated from the Rhine is used as a bathing bay.
