The path follows over many stones, partly with bat markings, partly with red paint on the rock. Sure-footedness is required, sticks are an advantage - otherwise great flair with an almost alpine character on the Wittgensteiner Schieferpfad.

Definitely non-slip hiking shoes. Many trees, branches lie across. On the ascent to the open daybreak (the fifth ascent) the bat sign at the top was suddenly gone. So turn back or continue? If you walk around the top of the fence (hoping to find the hiking trail again), then unfortunately you have to wildly fight your way back through the broken wood forest to the lower path in order to get back to the travel car park after a few hairpin bends downhill. Quite innocently, the bat sign reappears just before the parking lot. Otherwise there was always a text that asked to return. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything of the sort.
