The Deutsches Eck of the Westerwald is located exactly at the confluence of the Große Nister and the Kleine Nister near Heimborn, a small town in the Hachenburg collective municipality in the Kroppacher Schweiz. This hiking highlight presents itself to hikers in an idyllic way, embedded in a meadow between the two rivers. A hiking hut, a playground and several benches invite you to rest. Beautiful view of the Sieg! The Sieg loop is wonderful to look at.

The information board is necessary because without it, one would not have noticed anything special along the hiking trail - with non-archaeologically trained eyes.

You travel far back into the past - at least in your mind - with this highlight along the way, which, however, would have been overlooked by untrained eyes without the information board.
