Höchberg sandstone quarry Due to its good workability, the sandstone of the Lower Keuper is particularly suitable for sculpting and building purposes. The Liebfrauenbrunn pilgrimage chapel is a historical and spiritual attraction near Werbach im Taubertal. It was built in the 15th century as an open field chapel and rebuilt in 1902 in the Gothic style. Under the chapel there is a spring that, according to legend, has healing powers, especially for eye problems. The chapel is dedicated to Mary, Mother of Sorrows, and is visited by many pilgrims who ask for her help and intercession. The chapel has rich furnishings, including a grace altar by the artist Thomas Buscher and numerous votive plaques. The chapel is surrounded by an avenue of imperial linden trees and fourteen Stations of the Cross. The chapel is located in an idyllic place in the Welzbachtal, which invites you to linger and pray.

The Blutseemoor near Kist is a nature reserve in the Irtenberger Forest, which is part of the fauna-flora-habitat areas (FFH). It is known for its swinging lawn, which is the largest in Lower Franconia and floats on an underground body of water. The name Blutsee comes from a type of algae that sometimes turns the water red. The moor is not allowed to be entered as it is life-threatening.
