シッタルトにあるウォータースレイは、国内外のトップアスリートの育成のためのユニークで活気のあるレジデンシャルキャンパスであるウォータースレイ・スポーツ＆タレントパークに生まれ変わった歴史的な邸宅です。この施設は、シッタルトの南東の端に位置し、コレンベルグの麓、リンブルフの自然の中にあります。 1752年にロインス＝デルホウニュ家のために狩猟館として始まりました。 1876年から1967年の間、フランシスコ会修道院の複合施設として使用され、特徴的な礼拝堂、側翼、追加の階が建設されました。 長年、福祉施設として使用された後、この邸宅は2019年からリンブルフ州の所有となり、現在の革新的なスポーツキャンパスとして再利用されています。

Former hunting lodge, then monastery and elderly care facility and currently (2022) campus for international sports talent. Huis Watersley was built in the mid-18th century as a hunting lodge for the Maastricht family Loyens-Delhougne. In 1876, it passed to a German monastic order and was sold shortly afterwards to a Franciscan Order, who extensively renovated the building to establish a grammar school. In the centuries that followed, Huis Watersley was further expanded and added to, until the Paulus Foundation (later Stichting Pergamijn) housed care for people with intellectual disabilities in the stately building in 1967, after which they also decided to sell it again after a merger. Finding a new purpose for the 30-hectare site, which includes the former monastery with monastery chapel, various homes and an apartment building, was not easy, but with the establishment and expansion of an international campus for sports talent, the beautiful domain has found a future again. On the estate you will find challenging and beautiful MTB trails.
