For a brief rest at the TRERENBACH CROSS, a brief thought from Pope Francis might be helpful. During the traditional Stations of the Cross prayer with the Holy Father on Good Friday 2024 in the Colosseum in Rome, he posed the question: "Where are we on Golgotha? Beneath the cross? With some distance? Far away? Or perhaps, like the apostles, we are no longer there." He then continues with the meditation: "You breathe, and this breath, the last and the first, only asks to be accepted. Lord Jesus, lead us to your gift. Do not allow your breath of life to evaporate."

Always good for a rest.

The cross was recently renewed. The hike to Wartenstein is very beautiful and varied.

The Brunner was built in 1998 according to the plans of Prof. Ernst Fuchs as a biblical addition to the Barbara Church. The 7-sided water basin shows various motifs from the Bible relating to the story of Moses. The fountain was decorated with 430,000 pebbles, 144,000 pieces of glass mosaic. The base is covered with 3600 glass prisms from Swarovski and the statue is covered with 400 pieces of gold leaf.

Beautiful paths by bike or on foot

The Ternbachkogel is a summit not far from the Christ statue "White Lord God". When the weather is nice, you can see the entire Mur Valley from here. The hike up here is not too difficult and is rewarded at a summit cross ✝. From here you can hike to the saddle house (Oskar-Schauer-Haus) over the White Lord God. Further hikes to the bull's cross and other peaks are also possible. Definitely worth a visit when the weather is nice🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🌞🌞!
