If the rain is off for an extended period, this is a beautiful cave to explore. However, you shouldn't enter it if the weather is bad.

not a MUST but quite funny

The second highest point in the Vienna Woods, not far from the Gföhlberghütte and just a short detour from the Waldmarkweg.

The Haasen Bankerl rest area was built by Roman Haas, a skilled craftsman with a great love for nature. He also left many other Haasen bankers in various places in the Vienna Woods and even abroad. The Haasen Bankerl rest area has a plaque made from a tree slice that commemorates the Year of the Forest 1985. The Haasen Bankerl rest area can be reached from different sides, for example from Muggendorf or Oberdörfl. The path leads through beautiful forests, meadows and rocks. The total walking time is between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the route.

The Myralucke is a cave on the Unterberg in Lower Austria from which the Mirabach rises, which also forms the Myra Falls. The cave is an episodically active water cave and has two siphon sections that can only be overcome by diving and sometimes with a rubber dinghy. The total length of the cave is over 306 m and the total height difference is 19 m. There are numerous legends surrounding the Myralucke, for example about a girl named Mira who fell into the lake, an enchanted emperor with his entourage, a treasure with a password and the entrance to the underworld. The cave is a popular destination for hikers and ski tourers, who can access the cave from various sides.

The Unterberg summit is the highest point of the Unterberg, a mountain in the Gutenstein Alps in Lower Austria. It has a height of 1,342 meters and offers wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. From the summit you can see the Schneeberg, the Rax, the Schöpfl, Vienna and Lake Neusiedl. To get to the Unterberg summit, there are various hiking trails that vary in length and difficulty depending on the starting point. Here are some examples: From the Myralucke the hike takes about 2 hours and leads along a forest path and a path through the forest. From Muggendorf the hike takes around 3 hours and leads over a steep mountain meadow or a leisurely summit path. From Miragraben the hike takes about 1.5 hours and leads along a wide path along the stream. On the way to the summit you can also visit the Unterberg refuge, which is open all year round and offers accommodation, food and events. The refuge is about 150 meters below the summit and is an ideal place to rest and enjoy.
