The Neptune Fountain is located directly in front of the Rosegger elementary and middle school in Ried and is a popular spot for young and old.

Directly from the Waldschenke Luisenhöhe, you have a magnificent view of the valley. It's worth taking a break here and enjoying the view.

Nestled in the tranquil Hausruckwald forest, it offers a natural spring of fresh water—perfect for a quick refreshment on the go. Right next to it is a lovingly designed picnic area with seating, inviting you to linger.

Nestled in a green park with shady benches, the fountain invites you to linger and observe. At its center is a figure of the Roman sea god Neptune – with a trident and a slightly grim gaze, as if watching over the goings-on in the schoolyard. The fountain has been restored and is now bubbling merrily once again – much to the delight of walkers, students, and pigeons, who use it as a stylish place to drink. Right next door is the promenade playground, making the place particularly family-friendly.

You can get up here by train or on the hiking trail. At the top there is a guest house and a playground or high ropes course. If you want, you can also go down on the summer toboggan run.
