A beautifully designed viewing platform is located directly on the water. From here, you have a phenomenal view of the Weidmoos bird paradise. By the way: you're not allowed to cycle all the way here. So leave your bike at the bike rack and walk a few meters.

Weidmoos is always beautiful 🤩

The Weidmoos nature reserve is the habitat of hundreds of birds. There is a one and a half kilometer long themed trail through the area - but you should leave your bike behind and walk the route. Nice hut, ideal for making a snack

Beautiful loop around the lake, in absolute silence. A real paradise. The mossy ground is great for walking. Really something to relax your soul.

It leads from the chapel past the INFO house and litter meadows to the Mooskreuz. After a short stretch of forest you hike on the 'moraine hill' over a gently rising one Meadow path to the Seeleiten viewpoint, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Seeleitensee, the Moos and the Salzburg & Bavarian Limestone Alps. After a short distance you enter the moor with its three moor types and the many rare and protected plants, but also the breeding area of the curlew and the habitat of many other rare birds and animals

The "Moorwanderweg" has a length of approx. 4 km and starts in the village of Ibm.

With an age of around 12,000 years and an area of 2,000 hectares, this landscape is an ideal retreat for animals and plants. The peat stores in Bürmoos and Weidmoos have been almost completely dismantled. In the Weidmoos, a LIFE nature conservation project created around 25 hectares of water through damming. A "bird paradise" has developed over the past few years.
