You can take a break on the boulders and relax on the bench. From the edge of the forest you can enjoy a wide view and on an information board you can read interesting things about the geology of the region.

For the Upper Austrian State Exhibition 2012, the entire square including the castle was subjected to a thorough renovation. Today a remarkable ensemble of castle, church, Kneipp fountain and 35 meter high sequoia tree.

It leads from the chapel past the INFO house and litter meadows to the Mooskreuz. After a short stretch of forest you hike on the 'moraine hill' over a gently rising one Meadow path to the Seeleiten viewpoint, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Seeleitensee, the Moos and the Salzburg & Bavarian Limestone Alps. After a short distance you enter the moor with its three moor types and the many rare and protected plants, but also the breeding area of the curlew and the habitat of many other rare birds and animals

The "Moorwanderweg" has a length of approx. 4 km and starts in the village of Ibm.

The Seeleitensee was created by the erosion of the Salzach Glacier in the last Ice Age. It is surrounded by a moor landscape, partly also by areas that are used extensively for agriculture. [1]
