A strange shape of the terrain draws attention to a mysterious, unfinished castle. A round plateau with a diameter of 55m, which is surrounded by a wall, forms a ring wall system. Usually a tower was erected in the middle of such "local mountains" - but this structure was never completed. Already mentioned in a document in 1674, the Magdalenenkapelle was built in the last quarter of the 17th century over a spring that is said to have healing powers. The spring water is said to have numerous miraculous healings. On the lower floor of the two-story building, water can be drawn from a pump well. When I was here, however, the well was covered. Presumably wintering? Right next to it there is a resting place and an information board with further information about the chapel and the church of St Katharina, which is a little below.
