Very beautiful path between the Traun and one of its oxbows. You pass the fish ladders, which help the Danube salmon (or huchen; when fully grown it measures more than a meter) to migrate.

A beautiful valley. It's definitely nice and cool in summer. The cave is closed for security reasons.

A great section with a challenging entrance from above (steep & narrow), then at the rest area with a small waterfall a short opposite slope. From then on, a leisurely hiking trail that is also easy to drive on (of course officially forbidden).

The lower Trauntal between Gmunden and Wels is designated as a bird sanctuary of European importance. The river itself, the alluvial forests along its banks and the adjoining cultural landscape are breeding areas and habitats for numerous species that have now become rare.

The Schacherteiche are a great area to go for a walk and relax. Be it spring, summer, autumn or winter. If the Schacherteich are frozen over in winter, you can go curling or go ice skating.
