Ascent between heaven and earth: the Renjo La Pass 🙏 It's one of the three highest passes in the Himalayas at 5360m. We started the ascent on November 13th, 2025, at 5:00 AM, so we weren't walking up through mud, but rather on frozen ice. Due to the amount of snow, we couldn't take the secured route, but instead had to take the direct path up, which was quite strenuous. Finally at the top 🔝 Renjo La greets you not with triumph, but with awe. Lohtse, Makalu, Nupste, Everest—the giants have once again put on a beautiful display and stand still. What a sight! Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Manang district of Nepal, 55 kilometres (34 mi) from the city of Pokhara. It is situated at an elevation of 4,919 metres (16,138 ft) in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Another source lists the elevation of Lake Tilicho as being 4,949 metres (16,237 ft). According to the Nepali Department of Hydrology & Meteorology (2003), no aquatic organism has been recorded in the lake. The hike took us 3.5 hours from Tilicho Basecamp to the lake and 2 hours back. At the lake there is a tea house where you can buy food and drinks. Definetely worth the trip.

From the lunch stop follow the white arrows marking the route to Muktinath. You will pass by several temples and a mountainside filled with flags. Walk behind the temples and then cross back on yourself to pass underneath them. If you have time dowse yourself under the many tenple showers and pass through the 2 cleansing pools - you are now ready for Nirvana (and probably a little chilly).
