Rapids and small waterfalls are beautifully visible in a spacious area.

Just off the Ruroko Track in Lake Mburo National Park, the Ruroko Kopje rock towers above the landscape, a bare rock with impressive views of the surrounding area. The story goes that locals come here to throw off their problems such as illnesses, but even without problems this is a beautiful place to stop for a while.

The animals are active at dusk and at night, and volunteers take them for walks in the morning and evening.

The park is home to approximately 310 species of butterflies, 200 species of trees, 88 species of moths, 51 species of reptiles and a whopping 120 species of mammals, including 10 species of primates.

The current fee for gorilla trekking in Uganda for foreign non-residents is US$800 per person. This fee is paid to the national park, and the proceeds are used for the conservation and development of Uganda's protected areas.

The Kalagala Falls are impressive waterfalls on the Nile, north of Jinja. An overnight stay at the Overland Camp is recommended

Starting point for every gorilla tracking in Bwindi The tracking is expensive - but much cheaper than in Rwanda. Anyone who is here should do the tour. Seeing a silverback and its family up close is a lasting memory. The permit also benefits the protection of the animals

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is always worth a visit. There are so many trails to hike, the gorillas to track and bird watching. For foreigners the conservation fee (or entrance fee) is $40. Tracking Gorillas 🦍 is an amazing experience but has to be booked through a tour operator. During high season - or dry season - it is advisable to book well in advance. This is necessary as per Gorilla family, there is only one group of 8 tourists allowed per day. Face masks must be worn while watching the gorillas.
