Torre di Santa Maria The medieval residential tower was built in the 13th/14th century by the Counts of Sax. Overlooking the valley floor of the Misox, it was part of a territorial control system. The pentagonal tower is inspired by architectural models from central France. The village of Santa Maria, with its parish church mentioned as early as 1219, was the religious and political capital of the Calanca Valley. The church's current appearance dates back to the early seventeenth century, a time when Capuchin monks settled in the adjacent hospice. Beautiful route suitable for everyone

The title of this highlight is completely wrong! The Dima di Medeglia is located much further south above Rivera! (It was simply driven on as part of the tour described).

A small town with remains of ancient origins from the fourteenth century. It is located in the valley of the same name not far from the Cantons of Ticino and Bellinzona and from the entrance to the climb to the San Bernardino Pass.

The Torre Palas, also called Tor di Pala, stands above the municipality of San Vittore in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the lower part of the Misox.
