Pianazzo Waterfall Starting from the town of Scalcoggia, on the left side of the Madesimo tunnel, you reach Pianazzo, the seat of the town hall. Along the old carriage road, about 1.3 km long and with a height difference of 150 meters, it is a walkway reserved for pedestrians and bicycles. It is illuminated and has some stopping points surrounded by the green of nature. The Pianazzo Waterfall, with its 180 meters of drop, is the highest waterfall in the valley, which is also fed by the waters of the Scalcoggia stream. This is illuminated and has some rest areas immersed in the greenery of nature. Passo del Maloja at 1815 m.

Maloja at 1815m takes its name from the pass of the same name and connects Chiavenna to Sant Moritz. It divides the Bregaglia Valley from the Engadine and therefore also the Po basin from that of the Inn. An area of great historical and naturalistic charm, not only a passing point but also an excellent starting point for taking a tour in the neighboring valleys.

The Acquafraggia waterfalls (or Acqua Fraggia) are located in Borgonuovo and the parts visible from the road are the most suggestive, but not the only ones. The Acquafraggia basin is located at the western entrance to the Val Bregaglia. The stream of the same name originates from Pizzo di Lago at 3,050 meters above sea level, in an Alpine watershed from which rivers descend and flow into the North Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Descending towards the valley floor, the stream runs through two suspended valleys, both of glacial origin, one at an altitude of two thousand and the other at a thousand meters above sea level. During its course, the Acquafraggia stream forms a series of waterfalls. These, the ones further down, are the most suggestive thanks to their double jump. In fact, the name Acquafraggia comes from the Latin "aqua fracta", indicating a stream continuously interrupted by waterfalls.
