"Is it always something special for you?" asks presenter Werner Schmidbauer, as he reaches the summit cross crowning the Rabenkopf mountain with Munich pastor Rainer Maria Schießler in an episode of the Bavarian Television series "Gipfeltreffen." I would like to offer his short but succinct answer for the consideration of all who linger before this small, sacred monument: "For me, the cross has always been a symbol of encouragement, hope, new beginnings, and life. That's how my parents taught it to me..."

One of the rare lakes in southwestern Styria. The reservoir is a busy place on sunny weekends. Here you can enjoy swimming, hiking, cycling and camping. Parking spaces are rare and chargeable.

Small and sleepy place where the paths of hikers, mushroom detectives and even cyclists cross. A stop between Gressenberg and the Weinebene to enjoy the view and fresh mountain air.

Even as you climb, the rock formation is unique and impressive. When you reach the highest point, you will be rewarded with an indescribable view.

The idyllic village of Glashütten is the starting point of the EU project "Koralm Crystal Trail". Starting from Glashütten, it integrates the entire Koralm and Stubalm region. A geopark was built between 2001 and 2002 on the forecourt of the old school, the former site of the old glassworks, which now enjoys an international reputation.

The black Sulm offers beautiful hiking opportunities in natural surroundings.
